Univ of Maryland - Masters in Applied Anthropology?

Anyone know the reputation of this program, and how competitive it is to get in?
Looks like they have a strong historical archeology component, which is in line with my interests, but frankly the fact that it is close and -for residents - relatively cheap is also appealing.
As for competitiveness, its been more than a few years since I got my BA in anthro, but I have been pretty active volunteering locally in the field and think I could bring in some very good references.
Thanks
