Description
The intern will gain practical experience in Cataloguing the Museum Collection using Microsoft Work, Excel & Access, Photographing/Scanning the Museum collection, Researching various aspects of Carlow s history and will acquire Customer Service Skills while meeting and dealing with visitors to the Museum. Will learn about and assist with developing the Museum s new displays and will also be trained to write updates and new information to the Museum s website. Will be assisting and receive training from other Museum Staff and the Curator. The Museum is one of 12 Official County Museums in Ireland and forms part of a complex in Carlow Town which also holds the Library, Archives and Tourist Office.
Skills Requirements
Hardworking, able to get on with people. Able to work as part of a team and occasionally on own initiative.
Please Note:
This is an Internship. An allowance of 50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
