Description
The intern will gain practical experience in the management of archaeology site archives; the preparation of archives for publication; compiling and managing databases; the management of a heritage sites and community heritage; and networking with heritage organisations, stakeholders and local community groups. The Intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: all of the above. On completion the intern will have attained skills in a number of areas including working on their own initiative, working as part of a team, project management, dealing with the public and community groups etc. The Organisation will assign a Senior Archaeologist as mentor to support you during the Internship.
Skills Requirements
Would suit a of range of third level graduates but preference will be given to those with Anthropology, Archaeology, Conservation or Heritage Management studies as part of their degree.
Please Note:
This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
