Sapphos Environmental Consulting, Inc. - Pasadena, CA June 2011 to August 2011

Local environmental firm that resolves planning, resource management and compliance issues, helping conserve natural resources through habitat delineation/restoration, special status species and archaeological/ historic resources. Contracts up to $2.5M for 300+ clients.

On-Call Archaeological Technician / Timber Hills Wind Project

· Selected to participate in the Timber Hills Wind survey, which included pedestrian survey, map reading, photography, GPS use and site recordation.

· Used analytical skills to evaluate and categorize information. Followed manuals, blueprints and other materials to accomplish survey goals including using a variety of test and measurement equipment.

· Saved company significant time and money by completing 3000 acre survey within 30 day deadline; developed and implemented comprehensive strategy with team and used a compass, GPS and other tools for precise measurement. Demonstrated ability to schedule/prioritize work flow for successful completion.

Plumas National Forest / Feather River Ranger District - Oroville, CA       June 2008 to December 2009

1,146,000 acre U.S. National Forest located in Sierra Nevada in Northern California.

Archaeological Technician

· Conducted archaeological surveys, flagged and tagged archaeological sites, and performed site excavations of an 1800’s Stage Coach Station.

· Accomplished massive task of cleaning, cataloging and storing up to 200 artifacts within 7 days by developing a plan, delegating tasks, operating lab equipment, performing analyses, safe-guarding artifacts and uploading detailed information into the database for future reference.

· Cleaned, assembled, inventoried and dismantled test hardware and apparatus between work sessions. Maintained technical notes and lab records.

· Performed innumerable site recordation and mapping, took part in GIS Database manipulation and created Excel Spreadsheets for detailed site record files kept on all projects.

Achill Island, Field School - Ireland    Summer 2005

Training Program for students of archaeology, anthropology and related scientific disciplines; Neolithic to 19th century excavations with instruction delivered by highly experienced archaeologists and environmental scientists.
