A Summer 2012 Internship is available for undergraduate, graduate students or recent graduates of art, arts administration or art/architectural history programs interested in gaining experience with collections management, historical research, and program development at an artist foundation.
Working at the Foundation offices, interns will gain hands-on experience in several aspects of collections management and research for a 1400-object collection, historical and architectural research, and public programming at a non-profit arts organization. Interns will assist with administration, transcription of an artist oral history project, developing educational plans and tour programs, as well as ongoing marketing, public relations and fundraising initiatives.
Additional projects that match the interests and skills of applicants are also available. This internship is unpaid but provides great exposure to the Foundation’s core programs and activities.
Familiarity with Mac OS X, Adobe Creative Suite, eTapestry and all Microsoft Office programs is preferable.
Start date: Flexible, ASAP
Duration: Minimum of 4 months. Longer, based on Foundation need and if the intern so desires.
Work schedule: Flexible, 2-3 days per week,
Typically 10 am – 4 pm, break and stipend of $10 for lunch
