My goal is to help preserve the past for the present and future generations, and finding people past and present.   So I am seeking paid employment as a historical consultant, researcher, teacher, genealogist or indexer.

I am able to work well with others or on my own, on ongoing projects or temporary assignments. With over twenty years of experience I can be an asset to your current projects of research, understanding or preservation of the past. As new advancements in technology come it is important to learn from the past so that the present and future might be better understood. Examples of these concepts include the understanding of DNA, document preservation by digitization, and the dissemination of records using the internet and other media outlets.

My qualifications include, over twenty years of paid employment and volunteer consultation as a historian, teacher, researcher, consultant in history and genealogist.  Using records of birth, death, marriage, land and property ownership various other documents often helps the living to find and understand their past.  These records and sources come from various locations throughout Europe, North and South America.  Being able to read handwritten documents from 1500 and translate records from Latin, German, French and Italian into English is also an asset.  Past projects include compiling and publishing the casualty list of the entire United States for World War 1 and writing and publishing the book "United States Military Records".

My educational background includes a  Bachelors Degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University. As well as an instructor and student in numerous community classes   in historical records research, preservation and record and digitization.  I am also a continuing member of the Utah Valley Technology and Genealogy Group.

Thank you for your time and consideration of employment opportunities with you.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely Bruce Cramer
