Principal Investigator - Reno


Chambers Group has an immediate need for a Principal Investigator based out of our Reno office. The position reports to the Director of Cultural Resources. Responsibilities will include project management, including management of budget, staff, and schedules; preparation of technical reports; analysis of project impacts on archaeological resources under NEPA, NHPA, and possibly CEQA; coordination with local, state, and federal agencies and Tribal Groups; and mentoring of junior-level staff. Experience in Nevada cultural resources management with a working command of federal and state cultural resources statutes and operational knowledge of the prehistory and history of Nevada and the Southwest is desired, but not required to be considered for this position. The successful candidate must have a M.A. or M.S. degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or closely related field. The candidate will have a minimum of seven years of field experience with consulting firms. Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA) status is desirable. A record of professional research and publication will be favorably viewed.
