2013 Cahokia Mounds Field School, Washington University in Saint Louis University College

This summer marks the 14th annual archaeological field school through Washington University's University College, at the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site near Collinsville, Illinois.  Please join us for our 2013 Field School in archaeology.  This course is not restricted to Washington University students; you are encouraged to register.


Cahokia Mounds is the largest Native American mound center in the United States and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We offer training in the excavation of a Mississippian culture site.  Any student can register here. http://ucollege.wustl.edu/summer/registration

Dates: June 10 - June 28, 2013
Cost: estimated 
$2,820.00 per session (3 credits)
Work week: 
40 hours, M-F 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Housing: 
Not provided.  Students must find housing.  We may be able to offer some assistance at Washington University or in the area.
Transportation: 
Not provided.  Students must bring their own vehicles.
