Some custom cakes are considered "novelty" cakes. I have created 3D cakes of the sinking of the Titanic, various buildings and cars, toys, animals, etc. In February 2012 I created a cubist cake for the play "Picasso at the Lapin Agile" which will be a “cubist cake sculpture” of the Lapin Agile.

Expeditor/Shop Laborer

Fairbanks, Alaska, United States

Western Mechanical Inc.

(907) 452-1831, Sue Ernst

April 2007 to Jan 2009

- Job site supply pick-up and delivery, purchasing, working with suppliers.

- Maintaining warehouses, job sites, company vehicles, equipment.
- Processing paperwork for 4-9 jobs at a time.

- Inventory.

- Moderate to heavy lifting, use of forklift.

This job required me to be signed on with Local 375, the plumbers and pipefitters union, as a helper which means that I occasionally helped with union jobs in the fabrication shop.  I would do things like use angle-grinders to clean steel clamp-shells (used for pipe support) and painting the clamp-shells with special paint.  Typically though, I would pick-up parts and pipe for the job sites, deliver the parts needed, process paperwork, and maintain the company warehouses and job sites.  Heavy lifting was easily over 120 pounds.  I left to help my mom open a bakery/deli.
