Personal Goals

My immediate goal is to further my experience in the field of archaeology through the monitoring and survey of potentially sensitive cultural resources including: prehistoric archaeological sites, historical archaeological sites and traditional cultural places. I am also interested in becoming more experienced in the identification of prehistoric sites, material and data, and focus on the identification of soils and provenience of sites as they correlate with geological markers.  Site comprehension by evaluating site artifacts including faunal remains, shell bead and ornamentation (including identification and manufacture technologies) and evaluation of manufacture techniques of historical and prehistoric ceramics. I would like to gain more experience with Mission Era ceramics, their production and vessel function.  I will further my experience on historic and prehistoric sites, artifact analysis, final artifact curation procedures. Experienced in writing cultural and paleontological resource finding reports required for CEQA and/or NEPA level documents.  I have expertise in site photographic and artifact recordation, artifact removal, laboratory processing, artifact analysis and dating, and am familiar with Section 106 and State and Federal guidelines. Additionally, I am interested in furthering my experience and knowledgeable with GIS software, built environment surveys and architectural history.
