2014 University of Oklahoma Field School at Spiro

PCLivingood

The 2014 OU Archaeological Field School will be conducted at the site of Spiro in eastern Oklahoma.  The project will teach students how to conduct archaeological excavations and to analyze the artifacts and students will earn 8 credit hours.
This work is part of an effort to learn more about residential houses at Spiro and to recover information that will otherwise erode away in the coming years.  This exciting work is part of the first excavations to occur at this important site in three decades.

The school runs May 19 to June 20 for the field portion of the class in eastern Oklahoma and June 23 to July 11 for the lab portion of the class in Norman.

For more information and an application visit the project web site at https://portfolio.ou.edu/users/livi5882/web/fieldschool.html.
