JOB SUMMARY:
About the Agency
This position is located in the Research and Scholars Center of the Smithsonian American Art Museum (SAAM). The position serves as the museum's digital imaging database coordinator responsible for the museum's implementation of the Digital Asset Management System (DAMS/Artesia) of the Smithsonian Institution.

Creates and edits TMS media records for permanent collection (reviews digital assets, processing and preparing for linking to the museum's CIS and DAMS systems).
Oversees SAAM's implementation of DAMS across departments (provides guidance on standards and best practices for lifecycle management of digital assets).
Provides training and support to DAMS database users (responds to DAMS help calls; develops training materials and conducts training sessions).
