The Wesleyan University Department of Anthropology invites application for a one-year full-time visiting assistant professor position specializing in archaeology, regional focus and topical expertise open. The teaching load is five courses for the year, including a freshman year seminar and at least two courses fulfilling specific requirements for the anthropology major and the archaeology major/minor. The successful candidate will demonstrate a capacity for excellence in teaching, active engagement in research, and a commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education; previous undergraduate teaching experience preferred.
