TERA Environmental Consultants (TERA) became a member of the CH2M HILL family in April 2014. Description and Desired Qualifications
Senior Archaeologist, Permit Holder - Calgary, AB
TERA is working on the widest selection of high end Archaeology projects in Western Canada. We offer opportunity and challenge to ambitious Archaeologists wishing to advance their career with a forward looking company.
We are currently seeking an Archaeologist that has Permit Holding status in Alberta and/or British Columbia.
Responsibilities:
· Holding permit in AB and/or BC;
· Conducting archaeological assessments for developments such as pipelines, access roads, power lines, well sites, facilities, etc.;
· Managing crews during both archaeological baseline assessments and excavations;
· Writing high quality technical reports in a timely manner;
· Completing successful projects on time and on budget.
Qualifications:
· Registered Permit Holder status in AB and/or BC;
· Demonstrated ability to manage field crews;
· Knowledge of relevant federal and provincial legislation in British Columbia, Alberta and/or Saskatchewan;
· Knowledge of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and National Energy Board's Filing Manual requirements is a definite asset;
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
· Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service;
· Proficient in MS Office (MS Project experience will be a clear asset);
· Willing to work in an open, team environment.
This position will entail a flexible schedule; therefore the successful candidate must be prepared to remain in the field for extended periods of time.
