The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a one-year position as Visiting Assistant Professor of Anthropology beginning in August of 2015. Requires a PhD or ABD in Anthropology by start date. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching focuses on medical anthropology, science and technology studies, urban anthropology, or linguistic anthropology. Geographic specialization is open.
The successful candidate will teach six courses (three per semester), including Introduction to Cultural Anthropology and courses at the 200- and 300-level in his/her area of specialization, both geographical and topical. We are especially interested in candidates whose teaching, research, and service will contribute to the Department's commitment to diversity and academic excellence.
