Principal Investigator - Dallas, Texas

Red River Archaeology, LLC, is currently seeking a qualified candidate to join our rapidly growing company as a Principal Investigator in our Dallas office.  A successful candidate for this position should have the necessary skills and experience to start and complete projects with minimal supervision. 

Position requirements are:

  • Ability to supervise projects from initiation to completion (i.e., research design, fieldwork, report writing, artifact analysis, and curation)
  • Strong supervisory, writing, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is attention to detail, and completion of projects on-time and within budget
  • Master’s Degree in Anthropology/Archaeology; meets RPA requirements and Secretary of the Interior’s standards
  • Field and laboratory experience analyzing prehistoric and historic artifacts
  • Extensive experience identifying and evaluating 19th and early 20th century archaeological sites and conducting archival research
  • Experience supervising projects in the fast-paced energy sector
  • Experience recording historic-age standing structures of buildings, structures, objects, bridges, and culverts; knowledge of architectural styles and historic building fabric a plus
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to travel (travel anticipated at approx. 25%)
  • Primary field experience must be in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas, and/or Arkansas
  • Phase II and III supervisory experience a plus
