This position is located at the WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument in Honolulu, Hawaii.  The primary purpose of this job is to serve as a front-line ambassador for the park, who interprets historical and cultural information for visitors and provides customer service at a busy Visitors Center.
The WWII Valor in the Pacific National Monument, (formally known as the USS Arizona Memorial) is located within the city of Honolulu approximately six miles from the downtown areas.  Honolulu is the 11th largest city in the United States.  All amenities that large cities offer can generally be found easily.  Visitation is intense (over 1.7 million/year) and is usually crowded at this popular historic site. Public bus transportation is available to all VALR employees free of charge.  Basic monthly apartment rental starts at around $1500. Working at the Monument is a great opportunity to work side-by-side with the Pearl Harbor survivors and hear their unique experiences from December 7, 1941.  Trips to neighbor islands are extremely affordable and both the mountains and ocean are nearby.
