JOB SUMMARY:
Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
About the Position:
Fort Rucker is the home of the US Army Aviation "Center of Excellence" and is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama.  Cities immediately around Fort Rucker include Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round activities to include boating, fishing, golfing and hunting.  Fort Rucker offers an abundance of recreational family activities and is located only 1-2 hours from some of the most popular Florida beaches.

Use approved conservation procedures for handling historical artifacts.
Knowledge of US Army equipment and equip page of the 19th and 20th Centuries.
Conduct inspections and inventories of historical artifacts.
Use approved and accepted storage techniques for historical artifacts and archival material.
Knowledge of proper conservation concerns when exhibiting historical artifacts.
Respond to research requests, both orally and in writing.
Create educational and instructional materials from historical research.
