Early Medieval archaeology in Czech Republic

dietzm

Join us for a once in a lifetime opportunity in beautiful south Moravia.  There are still a few openings available to join the Czech American Archaeology Field School.  Students receive training in all aspects of excavation, including the opportunity to work with a total station.  In addition to field training, students will learn lab methods.  Interested students will receive bioarchaeological training, analyzing skeletons excavated at the site during previous field seasons.  Students also have ample opportunity for cultural exchange, as Czech and Slovak university students are working on their field school at the same time.  Weekend excursions include visits to Great Moravian centers, living history museums, and world heritage sites.  No previous archaeological experience or coursework necessary.

Please contact me via email if you have any questions at dietzm@cod.edu.  The link for the field school, including the application, is below.
