Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the mission of the Naval History and Heritage Command. They provide the
skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support museum operations. The Navy integrates the talents
and skills of its military and civilian members to provide direct support to the various Navy museums, and various Joint and
Fleet Commands.

This position is located at the Naval Academy Museum, Annapolis, Maryland. As an official Department of the Navy Museum,
the Naval Academy Museum’s mission is to collect, preserve, and exhibit the artifacts and art that are the physical heritage of
the U.S. Navy and Naval Academy.

Assist the Registrar in conducting inventories of the artifact collection in storage.
Maintain records to effectively track and store information on artifacts in a Museum.
Verify invoices and related shipping records, storing, cleaning, photographing, and marking of artifacts.
Identify artifacts to be used to support museums social media and digitization projects.
