JOB SUMMARY:

The Recent Graduates Program affords developmental experiences in the Federal Government intended to promote possible careers in the civil service to individuals who have recently graduated from qualifying educational institutions or programs.
The Forest Service will be at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico on Friday, April 24th to accept applications on-site from recent graduates interested in careers in the Forest Service.  This is a recruitment ad for positions that will be available during the on-site event and are from various locations across New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado.  Applications will be accepted on-site only at the Student Union Building, 800 National Avenue, Las Vegas, New Mexico.  Candidates may drop off a complete application package between 10 am and 2 pm Mountain Time (MT) on Friday, April 24th.  Follow-up interviews may be scheduled on Friday, April 24th or Saturday, April 25th.  Candidates who are scheduled to complete their degree by July 2015 may also apply to these positions.  For a list of available positions and locations, please refer to the Duties section tab.

These Recent Graduates positions are located on a Forest Service unit and provide developmental experience in support of the USDA Forest Service programs. These positions are designed to provide career developmental opportunities to in the Federal Government intended to promote careers in the civil service. Assignments are developmental in nature and responsibilities are assigned are consistent with qualifications and educational background, and agency needs. Experience combined with formal education; the employee will gain the necessary competencies for a career in the Forest Service. Work assignments are selected to ensure that the employee receives on-the-job training and exposure to one or more program functions.
