Field Techs - Fort Bliss, TX - Archaeological Survey

Quaternary Resource Investigations, Inc., a company based out of Baton Rouge, LA is currently accepting resumes for several Field Techs in support of anticipated projects on the Fort Bliss Military Installation, El Paso, Texas. The positions will be paid the prevailing wage. 

Position Summary

The Field Technicians will be expected to assist the supervisory archaeologists on survey fieldwork.  Ability to travel and conduct fieldwork for long hours and extended periods in hot and cold weather, cross rugged terrain and to carry equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Requirements

Qualifications include a B.A. degree in Anthropology, or closely related field. Experience working on US military installations is highly desirable. Experience on large-scale surveys and conducting NRHP evaluation is also desirable. GPS proficiency and adaptability to technological tools is mandatory.

Additional qualifications specific to this position:

·         Collecting field data using Trimble GPS units, data dictionaries, and recording site attributes using pull down menus.

·         Pass a security clearance background check,
