Archaeologist, Missouri State Parks

The Department of Natural Resources, Missouri State Parks, seeks an Archaeologist. This is highly responsible professional archaeological work in Missouri‚Äôs 87 state parks and state historic sites and providing assistance to partner agencies as needed.  The employee ensures the preservation of archaeological resources by reviewing projects that could impact archaeological sites, surveying land for archaeological sites, evaluating properties for National Register eligibility, processing artifacts, writing reports, managing a curatorial storage facility, and conducting excavations as necessary.  The employee exercises a high degree of initiative and independent judgment in planning and implementing work.
