Cultural Resources Manager

We specialize in providing municipal consulting services including, but not limited to, agency staffing, conservation planning and biological services, cultural resources, environmental, public finance, housing and community development, urban planning, sustainability and climate change, and creative services. 

We are currently seeking a Cultural Resources Manager for our Rancho Cordova, California, office to assist in projects throughout California and the western United States.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

·       Project management

·       Proposal preparation

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and dynamic team

·       Ability to work independently, provide project status reports, and manage multiple tasks

·       Working knowledge of CEQA and NEPA environmental processes as they relate to cultural resources

·       Author/review cultural resources technical studies that are compliant with Section 106 of the NHPA and CEQA as it relates to historical resources

·       Archaeological survey, site recording, excavation, evaluation, and monitoring

·       Delineation of Area of Potential Effect

·       Ability to coordinate and conduct effective meetings with project development teams

·       Native American consultation pursuant to SB 18, AB 52, and Section 106

·       Geomorphological and geoarchaeological analysis

·       Prehistoric and historic-period artifact analyses

·       Artifact curation

·       Experience with projects involving Caltrans, USFS, USACE, local agencies, tribal governments, and DOD is a plus


Candidate will meet the Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualifications Standards for Archeology, will be listed on the Register of Professional Archaeologists, and have 7-10 years of experience in project management.
