University of Connecticut 2016 Battlefield and Contact Period Field Schools

The University of Connecticut, in collaboration with the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center, will be offering two field schools during the summer of 2016.  Both six week, six credit field schools will run from Tuesday, May 17 through to Friday, June 24, 2016.  Students in both field schools will receive training in standard archaeological field survey and excavation, artifact conservation and cataloging, identification and analysis of seventeenth century material culture, and analysis of primary sources.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and will be accepted up through mid-May.
