Bolgar International Archaeological Field School 15-28/08/2016 130€ Russia


Bolgar International Archaeological Field School is an annual multi-disciplinary field school t held at the Bolgar Historical and Archaeological Complex, a World Heritage site located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia.

The School aims to provide a combination of practical training and academic content  for students and young archaeologists in a unique and multi-national environment. Every year, the school offers a wide range of programmes that consist of lectures, workshops, lab sessions, formal and informal roundtable sessions and excursions. The School is traditionally concluded by the Final Conference, where the students present their work and receive feedback from our academic staff.

This Field School is for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, regardless of nationality. Recent graduates up to the age of 35 are also welcome. Visa support for non-Russian nationals is provided, where required.

The programmes is delivered both in Russian and English, with interpretation and translation to English or Russian provided by a certified interpreter when necessary.
Each of the programmes is a two week course, equivalent to an accredited undergraduate course (10 ECTS). All students will receive a certificate of attendance.
