Stirling's Lost Broch: Scotland September 16th to 19th 2016

Murray

In 1872 Scotland's first female archaeologist (Christian MacLagan)  found a broch in Stirling, due to sexism  (her first paper had to be transcribed by a man!)  her works were overlooked and the broch lost and thought destroyed!

Dr Murray Cook of Rampart Scotland and Stirling University has identified the real location and will lead an excavation into it.

The dig is open to all levels and full training will be provided.

The dig is £250 though you must supply your own food, travel and accommodation.

There are also lost of other ways to support the project!
