Temporary Archaeological Field Technicians - Arizona

Logan Simpson currently seeks temporary Archaeological Field Technicians to conduct upcoming archaeological monitoring and data recovery testing as well as pedestrian survey throughout Arizona, reporting to one of our Arizona office locations, which includes Tempe, Tucson, and Flagstaff.

The ideal candidate will have a B.A. or M.A. in Anthropology, completed archaeological field school, and possess experience conducting fieldwork in a cultural resource management setting.

Individuals must be capable of conducting a cultural resources pedestrian survey, which includes: operating a handheld GPS unit; identifying archaeological artifacts and features; documenting archaeological artifacts and features in written notes and on tablet computers; and walking in remote locations and over steep terrain for extended periods of time, while carrying a pack weighing up to 45 lbs.  Individuals must also be capable of working on archaeological excavation projects. Ability to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors a must!
