Archaeological Fieldwork Position

LG2Environmental Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking Archaeological Field Crews for multiple projects in the upcoming year. These include, but not limited to, archaeological fieldwork in Georgia, North Carolina, and Florida.

Duties will consist of fieldwork assignments including survey, site recordation, site testing, and excavation, as well as conducting record searches, preparing cultural resources site forms and contributing technical writing for reports.

The qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in archaeology, anthropology, or related field is required (Master’s degree preferred). Other qualifications include:

    Minimum five years of Phase I and Phase II field experience (Crew Chief experience preferred)
    Experience with prehistoric and historic archaeology (southeastern archaeology preferred)
    Experience with GPS units (ArcPad or Terrasync software preferred)
    Prior experience of leading small crews
    Experience driving on unimproved roads
    Must be able to work in potentially adverse conditions
    Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the past five years
    Must be able to pass drug test
    Be eligible to work in the U.S.

Per diem and lodging is included along with competitive pay based upon qualifications and experience.

This job listing is for a temporary position, but may expand to full-time status based upon workload. Preference will be given to applicants residing in Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, Wyoming, New Hampshire, and Tennessee.
