Archaeology Field Technicians-NC

Environmental Services, Inc. (ESI) is looking for several Archaeological Field Technicians for a Phase I project located near the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This work is expected to begin around mid-March and will last approximately 6 weeks. Preference is given to applicants living within a two hour radius of Charlotte, NC.  Applicants must demonstrate prior CRM fieldwork experience (at least two years), particularly at the Phase I level, and possess at minimum, a B.A. in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field.

 

These are temporary hourly positions; the pay rate for the position is based on CRM experience (typically $12.00–$15.00/hour) for this temporary assignment.  Lodging (single occupancy) and per diem are provided for work days only (typically Monday–Thursday). Any additional travel expenses will be the applicant’s responsibility. Because of the temporary nature of this position, benefits are not included.  The average 10-hour work day will consist of excavation of shovel tests as well as 1-x-1 meter test unit excavations.  A strong work ethic, good attitude, and the ability to work well with others is essential.  ESI is a drug-free workplace; applicants may be subject to a drug screen and criminal background check prior to being hired.  Previous applicants are encouraged to re-submit their information.  Please email a curriculum vitae and a list of three recent professional references with contact information to:
