Summary
The BLM manages more land – 245 million surface acres – than any other Federal agency. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM, with a budget of about $1 billion, also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The salary range given above includes base pay and locality pay, you will also receive a 5.80% cost of living allowance for Glennallen, Alaska. This allowance is subject to annual review, adjustment and gradual decrease.

Duties
As an Archeologist Technician , you will: 
Inventory cultural resources on public lands in compliance with Sections 106 & 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
Gather information for cultural resource data.
Author documentation of archaeological and other cultural resource sites and inventories on public lands.
Conduct cultural resource work in remote areas.
