RGA, Inc. (RGA) is a full-service cultural resource management firm established in 1988, and is one of the largest independent cultural resource firms in the mid-Atlantic Region. RGA’s goal is to assist public and private clients through the process of complying with federal, state, county, and municipal cultural resource and historic preservation regulations. Our headquarters are based in Cranbury, New Jersey.
We are looking for an historical/industrial archaeologist for project assignments in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and elsewhere in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. Work assignments include the potential out of state locations including Ohio, Maryland, New York, and Virginia and the New England States. This position will be a Principal Investigator II. This is an opportunity for an entry to mid-level position in the firm.
Completing fieldwork, such as archaeological monitoring during construction, archaeological survey, site recordation, testing, data recovery excavation and construction monitoring; assisting in Native American consultation/scoping; conducting record searches; preparing cultural resources site forms; and synthesizing and analyzing project materials to assist in completing reports and environmental document sections. Ability to multi-task and willingness to learn are absolute musts.  
Other responsibilities may include managing budgets, preparing proposals, completing reports and other technical documents, contributing to research designs, treatment plans and other technical documents.  
This is a full-time position and compensation includes a complete benefits package. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
• Master's degree in archaeology, anthropology, history or related field is required.
• Minimum of at least one (1) year of experience with cultural resources work in New Jersey and/or eastern Pennsylvania or adjacent states.
• Ability to perform archaeological monitoring
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills are a must.
• Prior experience with managing and coordinating staff and other resources within budgetary constraints.
• Must be able to work independently as well as supervise small or large field crews, if necessary;
• Ability to work with a variety of colleagues and clients.
• Valid Driver’s License
• HAZWOPER certification preferred, but not required.
• Must be willing work from our Cranbury, New Jersey headquarters.
