Full Time Cultural Resources Internship for the Environmental and Natural Resources Division (ENRD), Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Fort Huachuca has an opening for a full time intern in the Cultural Resources Program. The position is on an active Army installation. Duties include conducting field survey and recording sites (both prehistoric and historic), writing compliance reports, conducting research, participating in outreach events, and other office related work. A combination of field work, lab work, and office work will give valuable hands-on experience in government cultural resources management.

Hours: 40 per week **

Duration: Internship duration is flexible, dependent on funding and applicant availability, but can run up to 5 years.

Salary: A monthly stipend is provided with the amount dependent on education level. Undergraduate-level and graduate-level intern positions generally range from $2,180 (undergraduate) to $3,616/month (graduate).

Qualifications: Interns can be students or recent graduates. The position is full time, so preference will be given to recent graduates. However, consideration will be given to students on a part time basis. Graduates must have received their degree within the last 5 years. Students must be full time in an undergraduate or graduate program in Anthropology/Archaeology (associates, bachelors, masters, PhD) and have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Interns should have:

• Experience with various computer applications; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint.
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work in primitive, outdoor, harsh desert conditions to conduct fieldwork. Ideal candidate would have attended a field school.
