Full-time Archaeologist Wanted-Richardson, Texas

ARCdigs

AR Consultants, Inc. is looking for a full-time archaeologist. Yes, you’ll have to go out in the field in the heat of summer, but our office has really good air conditioning! Sometimes we even have doughnuts.

As an ARC Archaeologist, you will also be responsible for writing technical reports at the completion of cultural resources surveys. It’s a great way to keep your college vocabulary sharp! We do ask that you have a bachelor’s degree in anthropology or related field, but if you have a degree in a different field, and you’ve clawed your way into archaeology with lots of fantastic experience, we’re happy to look over your CV.

ARC is the complete package. We’re a small company, so you won’t get lost in the faceless masses. You can really make your mark! But, as a full-time employee, you’re eligible for all the good stuff: paid vacation, paid sick leave, health insurance (after a 90-day review period), and some flexibility with scheduling (we’re doing archaeology, so we still have to bend to our clients’ deadlines). And did we mention that sometimes we have doughnuts?

Ideally, you’ll know how to use ArcGIS to make maps and be willing and able to take on small field projects on your own and lead others in the field, if necessary. You’ll need excellent time management skills, because we work in a fairly fast-paced office, and it won’t be unusual to juggle multiple projects at once. It’s also an extra bonus if you’re a lovely human being who gets along well with others. It’s close quarters over here!

Please send cover letter and CV or resume to S. Alan Skinner at arc@arc-digs.com.
