Field Archaeologists - Oklahoma and Texas

ENERCON Services, Inc. is an employee owned, premier Engineering and Environmental Services Company.  Our double-digit year-over-year growth is fueled by the quality of work we perform as an Engineer of Choice to a large base of the power facilities in the US, as well as to an expanding global customer base.  We currently have immediate openings for part-time/on-call Archaeological staff in Tulsa, OK and Oklahoma City, OK.

We are also hiring for a large survey project in west Texas with an expected duration of at least 4 weeks.

In these roles, your Key Responsibilities will be to:

  • Participate in cultural resources survey, testing, data recovery, and monitoring projects
  • Record data through standardized forms, notes, photographs, and scaled drawings
  • Use tablets and GPS units to document field work
  • Conduct background research prior to field work
  • Contribute to technical reports and other deliverables
  • Conduct field and office work with a focus on safe and sustainable practices

As a qualified candidate, you will have the above experience and meet the below requirements:

  • Minimum of one year applicable experience
  • BA in archaeology or similar discipline
  • Position requires travel and ability to spend extended periods in the field, working long days, hiking rough terrain in rugged conditions in hot or cold environments, and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Applicant must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Applicant must a positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, strong organizational skills, and ability to use technology
  • Applicant must have the demonstrated ability to work within a team setting to achieve client and team goals and the ability to take direction
  • Preference will be given to applicants local to Oklahoma and adjacent states
