DESCRIPTION
Department of Transportation (WVDOT) / Division of Highways (DOH) / Engineering Division, Kanawha County – HISTRN1- Responsible for historical research and report writing, compiling historic documentation packages that meet federal and state guidelines. Insure that Section 106 requirements are being met. Act as a liaison with DOH project managers, federal and state agencies, the State Historic Preservation Office, and consultants to complete the Section 106 review process. Perform professional work in cultural resources at an entry level. Prepare and analyze cultural resource information for potential impacts. Historical research is completed as part of the Section 106 review process for environmental clearance of roadway and bridge projects throughout the state. This position requires travel or may require travel and therefore requires a valid driver's license.  (DT1803039)
