Field Director--Pacific Northwest / Lower Columbia River


North Wind Resource Consulting, LLC (North Wind) is seeking a full-time Field Director for cultural resource-related projects in the Pacific Northwest / Lower Columbia River area. The candidate must be adept at supervising survey; archaeological monitoring, testing and data recovery; writing technical reports; and meeting project scope, schedule, and budget obligations. The position requires at least 3 years of public and/or private sector experience in the field of archaeology / cultural resources management, including at least 1 year in the Lower Columbia River area and 1 year at the Field Director level. Candidate must have the ability to interact with federal and state agencies, as well as private clients. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Anthropology / Archaeology or closely related field required. The ideal candidate will have an analytical specialty and must be able to be permitted as a Field Director by federal and state agencies.

The candidate must be able to conduct fieldwork, including survey in rugged terrain, carrying up to 40 pounds, and excavating in extreme weather conditions. The position requires the ability for travel. Per diem and lodging are provided for all project work requiring overnight stays away from employee’s home office.
