Field Techs Needed Immediately!! Archaeological Testing on large Hohokam Village


Terracon Consultants, Inc. is looking for 3+ archaeological field technicians for a testing project in Phoenix, Arizona. Duties include:

archaeological survey
monitoring and facing backhoe trenches
prehistoric feature and artifact identification
documenting features in profile
possible burial excavations

The project area is within a large Sedentary and Classic Period Hohokam Village, Four weeks are scheduled for fieldwork (four 10-hr. days, Monday through Thursday), with the possibility of transitioning into a data recovery phase!

Fieldwork could start as early as Monday, October 9th! Terracon is offering $16-$17/hr depending on experience. Applicants should have at least a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology/Archaeology or related field, and either completed an accredited archaeological field school or have one-year field experience working as an archaeological technician with a professional CRM firm, preferably in the SW.  Out-of-town employees would receive per diem for days worked: $40/day food allowance and $80/night for a hotel.
