SOI-Qualified Archaeological Monitor - Arizona

Harris Environmental Group, Inc. is an award-winning cultural and natural resources consulting firm specializing in the American Southwest. We are seeking an archaeological monitor for ongoing work in central and southern Arizona. Our client requires that the individual filling this position meets the Secretary of the Interior's Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology. The individual in this position will be responsible for identifying cultural resources in the field, collecting data, and communicating with construction crews during monitoring projects. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field
  • At least one year of full-time professional experience at a supervisory level in archaeology
  • Experience with prehistoric and historic cultural resources of the Southwest, preferably Arizona 
  • Ability to work in hot conditions

Pay is based on the SCA wage schedule for Federal projects. Per diem is provided for projects outside of the Tucson area.
