Working in U.S. CRM with a Canadian MA?

I will be starting my MA in archaeology this fall after 3 years of experience working CRM in the US. I was recently accepted into a MA program in Canada which would fund my tuition + provide a living stipend for the duration of the program, which is understandably very tempting. However, I'm concerned having a Canadian MA would put me at a disadvantage if I ultimately returned to CRM in the US.

Does anyone have any experience with how Canadian graduate degrees are regarded by US firms? Are there any other concerns I should be considering?

Thanks for your time!

Congrats! Sounds like an awesome opportunity. Lot of Americans go to UK for their Master's either in person or by distance learning when they're not getting past the GRE in US. I have worked for some supervisors that did this though they did it long time ago. Current market starting out might be different. Don't think Canadian degree would be much different. I would read through SOI / RPA requirements and match your work to that. If your program includes a thesis try to make it applicable to US like perhaps upper plains archaeology. Good luck!
