Field Technicians - Fort Collins, Colorado


Centennial Archaeology LLC is seeking qualified Field Technicians for an ongoing Class III survey and shovel testing in Weld County, Colorado.  Field work is expected to last through mid-May.  Field Technicians are expected to complete intensive pedestrian survey, excavate and screen shovel probes, and complete field forms including digital photography and in-field mapping.


·      Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or closely related field required.

·         Familiarity with prehistoric and historic cultural resources is required.

·        Completion of an accredited Archaeology field school (or comparable field experience) is required.

·      Ability to travel to a location, survey 5-13 miles in a single day across rugged terrain, work long hours in sometimes inclement weather, and ability to carry personal gear as well as equipment weighing up to 40 lbs is required.

·         Previous CRM experience is preferred, especially experience in eastern Colorado. 

·         Knowledge of ArcPad and both Garmin and Trimble GPS units is preferred.

·      Locally based (Northern Front Range / Southern Wyoming) applicants are preferred, though single occupancy hotel rooms and per diem are available during project sessions.
