Archaeological Field Technician

SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their team and looking for dynamic individuals who are following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work. Our Las Vegas office offers a unique work environment and specializes in Cultural and Natural Resource Management.

Your role will be to assist with all project needs in the Las Vegas & Reno, NV region. You should be able to work at least a 40hr hour work week.

                                                                  

Help with all aspects of fieldwork, monitoring, data collection, inventory, analyses, and report production. Assist with reports and other technical documents, conduct Class I/file searches, site form preparation, literature review and historic or prehistoric research.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology or a closely related field is preferred
  • Experience with a range of field methodologies; including survey, testing, excavation, and monitoring preferred..
  • An accredited Field School Certification preferred
  • Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, often at high altitudes, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required.
