Service year, archaeology and historic preservation WV

Appalachian Forest Heritage Area is currently filling AmeriCorps service year positions in West Virginia for a start date of Sept 6, 2018. These positions are national service, and receive a stipend and educational award, which can be used on current student loans or future education. Members serve 11.5 months / 1700 hours.

Remaining open positions include an Archaeology based heritage position with the Monongahela National Forest, and a historic preservation based position with our Hands-On historic preservation team. Members gain experience in their field and participate in conservation cross training (watershed, NNIS, endangered species, spruce plant/release, etc.) Interviews are ongoing.
