EcoPlan Associates, Inc., a natural and cultural resources consulting firm with headquarters in Mesa, Arizona, is accepting applications for a crew chief/field director field position for the 2018 field season in Utah. Work will likely extend through the summer and well into the fall.  Experience in archaeological survey, prehistoric and historic-period site documentation, use of handheld GPS units for site mapping, and site form preparation is necessary. All applicants must be able to walk up to 12 miles per day in difficult terrain and extreme weather carrying a 20-pound pack. Some surveys will require overnight camping in remote locations. EcoPlan especially values a commitment to effective communication, teamwork, and quality in all aspects of archaeological fieldwork, including mapping, note taking, and digital photography. Hourly wage will range from $21/hour to $25/hour, depending on experience and education; lodging and per diem will be paid. EcoPlan will give first consideration to residents of Utah with substantial Utah field experience. Applicants may email a cover letter and resume, including the names and contact information of three professional references, to:
