Position:  Senior Archaeological Principal Investigator
Required Experience: 3 to 5 years +
Location:  Austin, Texas 

Perennial Environmental Services (Perennial) is actively seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Senior-level Archaeological Principal Investigator position in their Austin, Texas office.  Perennial is a rapidly growing environmental consulting firm that provides ecological and cultural resource services to a variety of clients throughout the country, primarily to the oil and gas industry.    

The applicant should have 3 to 5 years of experience working in Cultural Resources Management – preferably oil and gas development or similar business lines.  The individual must meet US Secretary of the Interior Standards for Archaeology, and be a Registered Professional Archeologist (RPA).  A Master’s level education is required, and experience as a lead author and Principal Investigator in Texas and surrounding states is preferred.  The candidate must demonstrate strong technical writing skills, have experience supervising field crews, be well versed in the state, federal, and local antiquities laws and regulations, and have experience working on linear oil and gas projects.   

Job responsibilities will include managing field projects and staff, writing technical reports, agency and tribal coordination, conducting background research, and contribute to proposals and marketing efforts.  The candidate must also possess excellent written and oral skills, be highly organized, self-motivated, detail oriented, and be able to work in a high-demand atmosphere.
