Binghamton University's Division of Research seeks a Director for the University's Public Archaeology Facility (PAF), a campus-designated Organized Research Center. PAF is an archaeological research center that specializes in all dimensions of cultural resource management (CRM) within the Northeastern U.S., mainly in New York and Pennsylvania. Our staff provides federal, state, local, and private groups within the Northeastern US with professional archaeological surveys in compliance with state and federal regulations. Our grants and contracts generate scholarly research that enhances the professional visibility of our staff, faculty, students, and university within the local community, region, and nation. We train archaeologists (undergraduates and graduates) to be field and research specialists within a CRM context. Our staff implements "Public Archaeology" through community programs, Native American collaborations, and preservation initiatives.
