Ongoing Excavation Project, northwest New Mexico

Southwest Archaeological Consultants, Inc., a cultural resource management firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, is actively seeking to fill Field Archaeologist positions for an ongoing excavation project in northwest New Mexico. The project entails the excavation of two open-air sites, each containing Archaic and Basketmaker components, in the southern San Juan Basin. The project began on March 6 and will continue until June 19.
At a minimum, qualified individuals must have a B.A. in Anthropology/Archaeology and must have completed an archaeological field school. Based on an individual’s experience and qualifications, the hourly pay rate varies from $15.00 to $17.00. Per diem is $45; accommodations provided.
