Temporary Archaeological Field Technicians - Colorado

Logan Simpson has immediate openings for temporary Archaeological Field Technicians to conduct archaeological fieldwork throughout Colorado.

The ideal candidate will have a B.A. or M.A. in Anthropology, completed archaeological field school, and possess experience conducting fieldwork in a cultural resource management setting.

Individuals must be able to survey in remote locations and walk up to 10 miles per day over steep terrain, while carrying a pack weighing up to 45 pounds. Individuals must also be capable of conducting a cultural resources pedestrian survey, which includes: operating handheld GPS units (Trimbles and Gamins); identifying archaeological artifacts and features; documenting archaeological artifacts and features in written notes and using Compass field forms. Ability to work cooperatively with crew members and supervisors a must!
