Archaeologist/Field Technician - Guam

International Archaeology, LLC (IA) is accepting applications for the position of Archaeologist/Field Technician in our Guam office. This is a full-time temporary position that will last for approximately 6 months, beginning July 2019. The term may be extended, as company needs and individual performance warrant. The work will include archaeological monitoring, survey, and excavation. The position requires work experience and skills sufficient to independently recognize surface and subsurface archaeological remains, assess the type of work needed to appropriately perform field documentation of the remains, and to efficiently carry out such documentation, which includes maintaining organized and comprehensive written records.

A minimum of 2 years of archaeological experience is required; archaeological experience in the Pacific is preferred though not required. Applicants must have a valid U.S. passport and driver’s license, and a B.A. or M.A. degree in anthropology with specialization in archaeology (or a degree in a related field). Hourly wage range is $22.00-$25.00 commensurate with position and experience of the applicant. Benefits include healthcare insurance, one round-trip airfare to Guam, and one month of housing on Guam at no charge.
