Seeking Qualified Archaeological Technicians

Kautz Environmental Consultants, Inc., (KEC) of Reno, Nevada, is currently accepting applications for field archaeologists for an upcoming data recovery project scheduled to begin in July 2019.  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  Anticipated fieldwork will occur in rural Nevada, and field rotations will be generally scheduled 8 days on/6 days off.  Meal allowance ($45/day) and lodging are provided for work days.  Transportation is also provided from Reno, Nevada, to the project location.
Qualifications:
Preferred technician candidates will have a B.S. or B.A. in Anthropology or Archaeology, and at least one year of field experience. Preference will be given to applicants with a background in Great Basin and California archaeology and those who are local to Nevada or surrounding states. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods of time, lift at least 50 lbs., and hike 10+ miles per day in rough terrain and weather conditions.
